Day 1

Day 1 LEON

We´´ll pick you up in Madrid and drive you on mini bus or van to LEON. At the hotel, we´ll receive all the information and documentation for the trip. After that a little bit of free time to explore and know this beautiful city were you will find a great ambient. Then we´ll regroup and go back together for dinner at a local, well known, restaurant. Hotel is right next to a cathedral

Day 2

Day 2 LEON-ASTORGA 48 Km
The path consist of a flat terrain through small towns and secano fields . At the middle of the path we will get to “Hospital de Obrigo”  bridge, one of the pretiest along the path. The entrance to Astorga will show us that were entering the mountains. We´ll visit the city, the cathedral and the Episcopal palace of Gaudi. Dinner and lodging next to the Episcopal palace.

Day 3

Day 3 ASTORGA-VILLAFRANCA 75 km
Up hill to Cruz del Hierro and a large downhill to Bierzo.
We can take an uphill shortcut  by using the assistance car. In either case, the uphill  is smooth until we reach the last 5 Km, after a stop at the top, a waving terrain begins with beautiful sights, then a large downhill begins that takes us to Ponferrada and its templario´s Palace. Then, a visit around this beatifuls and impressing towns, vineyards, farms etc , the route will take us to Cacabelos, and a ride on the highway will take us  to Villafranca (nice town located  between the mountains).

Day 4

Day 4 VILLAFRANCA-PORTOMARIN 85 km
Second uphill. Entrance to Galicia
Form Villafranca a small uphill begins to O´Cebreiro. We can used the assistance car to avoid hard or not that preaty paths. At O´Cebreiro, we´ll start to feel our arrival to Galicia, passing by the pallozas village and we will be breattaken by its pre-romanic sanctuary. Downhill to Triacastela , and then a beautiful path through Samos (well known by its Monastery), we´ll continue until we get to Sarria.

Day 5

Day 5 PORTOMARIN-ARZUA 51 Km
One uphill and changing terrain
The route is through small agricultural villages, pines and eucalyptus woodlands.
Dinner and lodging in Arzúa.

Day 6

Day 6             ARZUA-SANTIAGO COMPOSTELA 38 Km
Waving terrain.
Final lap but not less harder than the others. But still not that hard of  difference in the terrain level. Several up and down hills could make the route feel hard but this is rapidly taken away by the feeling of getting to Santiago. We will catch our breath at “Monte de Gozo” (Mount Gozo). Time in the afternoon to visit the compostelas and to look around the animated streets of Santiago.

Day 7 END OF THE TRIP
After breakfast, end of the trip. Back to Madrid
